The project
A digital observatory for every Natura 2000 site, accessible from your browser.
XN Atlas is 3Bee's environmental monitoring dashboard for managers of protected natural areas.
What it measures
Biodiversity, microclimate, vegetation health (NDVI), protected species and climate risk to 2100: all georeferenced to your site's perimeter.
Where the data comes from
Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites, official EEA and ISPRA registers, IPCC SSP1, SSP2 and SSP5 climate scenarios, georeferenced naturalist observations from iNaturalist. No sensors to install.
What it's for
EU reporting, management plans, tracking Habitats and Birds Directive obligations, public communication. A single home for your park's data.

Is it really free?
Yes. If your park is part of the European Natura 2000 network, you get the full private XN Atlas platform, with no cost and no time limits. It's our initiative to support the people who manage sites designated under the Habitats and Birds Directives.
What data do I see in the dashboard?
How the health of your vegetation is trending, measured from satellites (the NDVI index from Sentinel-2), local temperature and climate trends, land use and land cover, the protected species officially recorded for your site, projections of future climate risk (IPCC scenarios) and naturalist observations from iNaturalist. All referenced to your site's official boundaries.
Who can access my dashboard?
Only you and the people you invite. The dashboard is private, reachable from a dedicated web address. None of your park's data is shown publicly without your consent.
What if my park isn't Natura 2000?
We'll ask you to leave your details on the waiting list. The 3Bee sales team will get back to you about the tailored version of the XN Atlas platform, shaped around your needs.
How long does activation take?
From 1 to 24 hours. The baseline climate and vegetation-health data are calculated automatically by our systems, then a direct access link reaches you by email.
